I have served as the University Relations Senator on the AP Faculty Senate and as Secretary of the Executive Council at Radford University from 2016-2018. As Secretary, I was charged with recording and transmitting all official proceedings of the AP Senate meetings. I was also tasked with conducting and executing the election of Senators. As the Senator for University Relations, I was the liaison for the division, keeping AP Faculty employees in my division informed about current events in the campus community, as well as relaying concerns, questions and ideas to the AP Faculty Senate.
I have also served as a panelist for graduate college events to recruit, inspire and encourage students to continue their higher education. Speaking engagements I have been invited to be a panelist for include the Commonwealth Graduate Education Day on October 30, 2015 at Virginia Commonwealth University, the Career PREP conference on September 24, 2016 and the 6th Annual Faculty Women of Color in the Academy National Conference on April 6, 2018 at Virginia Tech. I have also been a workshop presenter for AdScape, a day-long conference promoting interest in the advertising industry among multicultural high school students, since 2014 for 4 consecutive years.
